User Agreement

The rules that govern your BCYA membership and use of this app.

1. Who may use BCYA

BCYA is a community platform for youth of Bor County and the wider South Sudanese diaspora. You must provide accurate registration details, keep one account only, and be old enough to consent to using an online service in your country.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your password and for everything posted from your account. Do not share log-in codes. Tell the secretariat immediately if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.

3. Membership and dues

Membership status, payam chapter and dues records are maintained by the secretariat. Approval is at the discretion of BCYA administrators, and records may be corrected where information is inaccurate.

4. Content you share

You keep ownership of the posts, photos, reels and messages you upload. By sharing them on BCYA you grant the association permission to display and distribute that content within the app and its official channels.

5. Donations

Donations are made to named campaigns. Contributions are recorded against your member record and are generally non-refundable once confirmed. Campaign progress is published; individual amounts are not.

6. Ending access

BCYA may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms or the community standards below. You may request removal of your account at any time through the support page.

Community Standards & Privacy Policy

How we expect members to behave, and how BCYA handles your information.

Respect and peace

BCYA exists to build peace. Tribal insults, incitement, threats, hate speech and content glorifying violence are removed and can lead to permanent suspension.

Inclusivity

Every payam, chapter, gender and diaspora community is welcome. Harassment, discrimination and sexual content directed at members are not tolerated.

Honesty

Do not impersonate members or leaders, spread misinformation, or run fundraising appeals that are not approved BCYA campaigns.

What data we collect

We store the details you register with — name, contact details, payam and chapter, profile photo — plus the content you post and basic activity records used for security and moderation.

How your data is used

Your data runs the service: member verification, chat, the youth directory, event rosters and donation records. We do not sell member data to third parties.

Who can see it

Your name, photo, payam and chapter are visible to signed-in members in the directory. Private messages are visible to you and the recipient. Donation amounts are visible only to you and the secretariat.

Your choices

You can edit or remove your profile details at any time, sign out of all devices from the profile security panel, or contact support to request deletion of your record.
